What is a forex licence?
An authorisation from a financial regulator that allows a company to offer forex and CFD trading services, usually as a broker, dealer or investment firm. See licence types.
Which forex licence is best?
There is no single best licence. Cyprus gives EU access, Dubai and South Africa strong regional recognition, Mauritius and Seychelles a balance of credibility and cost, and the Comoros speed. Try the licence finder.
What is the fastest forex licence?
The Comoros islands of Mwali and Anjouan issue licences in weeks, with limited recognition. A Saint Lucia IBC is faster still but is not a licence. See fastest licences.
Which licence lets me serve EU clients?
A licence from an EU regulator, such as a Cyprus Investment Firm licence from CySEC, which can be passported across the EEA. Offshore licences do not allow EU marketing.
Do I need a licence to get MT5?

What is substance?
Real local presence: an office, resident directors and officers such as a compliance officer and MLRO. Regulated jurisdictions increasingly require it.
Is minimum capital required?
Most regulated jurisdictions set a minimum capital that depends on the licence category; market makers need the most. We confirm the current requirement for your structure.
Are Comoros licences recognised?
Licences issued by Mwali and Anjouan are disputed by the Union of the Comoros and its central bank, and some regulators warn about them. We classify them as offshore licences with limited recognition.
